Torai Mid-Weight Hooded Jacket

I’ve had the Torai jacket for years and always loved it. It’s warm, comfortable, and has convenient pockets. I have the old version with no hood. But it’s getting pretty ratty from years of heavy use so I ordered this Grey Torai jacket to replace it. I love everything about it except the hood and therefore the higher zipper. Wish it was offered without a hood, or had a removable hood. But otherwise it’s great.

I love my new Torai mid-weight jacket in granite! It's cozy, the liner is super soft, and the outer fabric stops the wind and drizzly weather. I like the hood - it stays in place and doesn't slide over my eyes. I can wear this jacket in the field and to town. The color goes with everything.

This jacket is my go-to for colder fall/winter/spring days around town (anything below 50). I take it out for 1st and 2nd season elk and deer hunts in the Rockies (anywhere from 50 to 0) and it performs great and holds up against a lot of wear and tear. I would kill to have some pit zips instead of the back vent, since I always have a pack on when hunting and it can get pretty toasty when hiking.

I really like the warmth and coziness of this jacket and it’s not super heavy. Good length to the torso and in the arms. A tad noisy for being sneaky on the hunt but if you’re aware of that, you can just be careful not to rub the arm against the body of the jacket.
