Pradlann Upland Vest

Bought this so that I could have a vest for a North Dakota pheasant hunt. 5 days of hunting, 20,000+ steps per day. Nothing fell out of the pockets, even when I was jogging ahead to block. The vest kept all the weight of the ammo, water, and birds on my hips and off of my shoulders. My only gripe was that the gun butt slid off the shoulder strap too easily, leading to a missed shot and a bruised bicep. This did get better, however, as the vest broke in and I could make some adjustments to the chest strap. This issue would probably exist with ANY strap-vest, and is the reason that I don't attach the right shoulder buckle on my waders, either. So! Glad I bought this vest! Gun-mount sliding is the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me.

I was really excited for my first legitimate vest and this one fell short. I'm a midsize girl, the waistband fits but barely. The straps are borderline too thick for me and I'm afraid gun mounting will be impeded. The water bottle holders are mesh and the elastic will not hold anything let alone a full nalgene well. Lastly, the front pocket closures are totally ineffective. I will probably try to attach velcro to them myself to hold shells otherwise I'll lose them. There's also a stiff handle that ends up sitting right on my neck that drives me crazy.

I like the feel of it overall and the sturdiness of the game pouch, but that's about it :(

Pradlann Upland Vest

I was very excited for this vest, it does the job but has lots of room for improvement. This is NOT a one size fits all. I am an xs, have the straps cinched all the way, and it is too big. The belt sags bad and my shoulders hurt after an hour walk from all the weight. The padding is also a little thick for my liking and affects gun mounting for sure. A more light weight option, and in sizes would be much more preferable. It would be very nice to have two waterbottle pouches as well and a clip on the front of the shoulder strap for the garmin. I wish I would’ve been able to try this on before purchasing, but unfortunately there is little options for women as it is, especially smaller ones as they can’t make the men’s sizes work.

A nice lightweight vest that allows for easy access into the back bird pouch. A TON of pockets to keep things separate and safe (licenses, etc.). Nothing I’ve purchased from Prois has been money wasted, proud to wear such a wonderful women’s brand.
