I love my new Torai mid-weight jacket in granite! It's cozy, the liner is super soft, and the outer fabric stops the wind and drizzly weather. I like the hood - it stays in place and doesn't slide over my eyes. I can wear this jacket in the field and to town. The color goes with everything.
This jacket is my go-to for colder fall/winter/spring days around town (anything below 50). I take it out for 1st and 2nd season elk and deer hunts in the Rockies (anywhere from 50 to 0) and it performs great and holds up against a lot of wear and tear. I would kill to have some pit zips instead of the back vent, since I always have a pack on when hunting and it can get pretty toasty when hiking.
I really like the warmth and coziness of this jacket and it’s not super heavy. Good length to the torso and in the arms. A tad noisy for being sneaky on the hunt but if you’re aware of that, you can just be careful not to rub the arm against the body of the jacket.

Perfect for early season hunting. Blocked the wind on a super windy day. The only thing I would change is when I wore a pack getting ready for a spring bear hunt and the pocket zippers were miserable on my hips where my pack was. Thought it was my pack, adjusted it and still had issues on my hip bones hurting due to the placement of the pockets and zipper.
