I've had my new-style Torai jacket in Merge for a couple of weeks now and it is becoming one of my favourite pieces in the Prois line. I've worn it for everything from hiking to gardening to sampling benthics in a local river! Comfortable fit with room to layer, coupled with light insulation in the arms and back, and an awesome soft fleece lining in the back and hood. Fit is relaxed but still form fitting, allowing mobility even when worn over other layers. Hood is slightly fitted and not adjustable, but is cut well and easily allows a ball cap or beanie underneath, and doesn’t restrict vision to the sides. Great features overall - back vent zips, and LOVE the cell phone capable chest pocket (its the little things lol). High quality softshell sheds water and burrs, and protects from brambles. Excellent jacket for cool fall mornings in Ontario. I'm 5'7", 140lbs, and the Medium fits perfectly!
This jacket keeps me warm and dry all season! The new Merge patten worked amazing for early goose in Minnesota and adding the hood keeps you extra warm in the wind.
This jacket and the pattern I love! It is very warm and perfect for fall her in Michigan. I fit is perfect!
Wore this 6 days straight for archery in the Colorado mountains we hiked 10 miles a day in timber, tough terrain and open wet fields. First of all I love that I can draw my bow and there’s no restriction in the arms/shoulders. Very comfortable and the lining inside is soft! 2nd the chest pocket is awesome for your range finder! I know that’s not on many peoples radar but I love putting my range finder in my chest pocket on anything hunting I own so that is a huge plus! The only thing is this is NOT very waterproof. I wore it through rainstorms, light rains/drizzles and it was wet inside. Did I get a bad batch I honestly don’t know cause water definitely got in. The hood is awesome and doesn’t impede your vision. Would give it 5 stars if it was better at keeping water out. I got a size small and had room for thermal shirt, short sleeve and vest underneath. Definitely would not be warm enough for winter hunting for me as I’m always cold but did ok in the September month in Colorado.
