The Prandann Upland Vest is the ultimate in fit, functionality, and comfort for the avid female upland hunter. After years of hunting with upland vests and packs designed for men, we poured our years of experience into creating a vest that had everything that was lacking in in fit and function to create the perfect women’s upland hunting vest.
Engineered with 420D Nylon Ripstop for extreme durability. This vest was created specifically for the female form with special attention paid to shoulder strap placement, chest strap placement, and hip belt placement. Featuring a deep and expandable game bag with lower side panels enabling one-armed bird storage. The ammo pouches on the waistband feature elastic hooks for security and easy access. The adjustable length tab in the back accommodates a wide range of women for optimal adjustability. Two deep storage pockets on the back panel provide lots of additional storage space for essential items.
Next, it is very adjustable, but anyone smaller than me might have issues. I'm 5'4", 120 lbs. and I had to put the straps at their smallest with a "medium" coat on. It might fit a bit loose in the early season when I only have a light jacket, and I think my regular thick hunting coat will fill it out nicely. Having a bit more room to cinch it up would be nice, though, I don't like things always barely fitting but it can't be helped at my size.
The game bag is easily accessible and is big enough to hold a limit (3) of pheasants with room to spare. There is an additional zipped bag hanging inside the game bag that seems like is awkwardly placed, but I'm sure I'll find a use for it.
The only big drawback for me is it's not hydration ready. At least 3 other vests I was considering that were at a cheaper price point all have the ability to hang a water bladder. The good looks and the fact that this vest was made to fit women is what won me out, and perhaps I can find a way to rig up a bladder in it, anyway, with that other bag hanging inside the game bag.
This vest would be perfect if the fit went a bit smaller, had shell loops, and was hydration ready. But it hits the most important things for me: it does fit even if it's just barely, has a big, easily accessible game bag, lots of nice pockets, no velcro, well-made, and looks great without gobs of pink or being solid blaze orange. I can't wait to get it out in the field!
