Opener of the gun deer hunt in Wisconsin was a chilling 8 degrees with 25 mph wind. I usually load up with multiple gaiters and a fur hat. This year I used just the Prios gaiter and my fur hat (with orange), and I was PERFECTLY WARM. It offers enough room to move and not create a big wet spot from your breath and yet shelters you from extreme cold and wind. I absolutely LOVE it! It’s great to find gear that is 100% what you’re looking for, and this is it! I do think it’s more heavy-weight than mid-weight though. I’d love to see the heavy though if this one is this great!
