    Nice and warm

It’s not as loud as some make it sound. It’s not 100% quiet but if it’s raining you will be fine. Liner is super warm! I love wearing it by its self. I’m very pleased.

    Warm!

I love this coat. I was able to sit in a tree stand for several hours in 30 degree weather. I had to be careful to not be too warm. My 10 year old child has also worn it out hunting and loves it. It is so soft, too.

    Warm but a tad bulky

I’ve read other reviews saying this coat is loud and not great for deer hunting. I can’t attest to that as I used this for pheasant hunting and we’re always making noise in the brush looking for them so that wasn’t a problem for me. This coat is definitely warm, however I find that it’s a bit bulky. I went to a practice trap shoot the night before hunting and found it kind of difficult to get my gun up and placed in the right area with the coat on.

Things I like about it—Its warm! I like that you can zip out the liner and wear it alone (I haven’t done that yet), love that the hood zips off (used it this way for my hunt as I didn’t need it). The zipper works great. Pockets are soft fleece lined. Didn’t get any snags in it on my hunt which is good. Great price right now (11/2021) too as I paid more for mine in October 2021.

Things that need improvement—a little bulky (not sure how it could be redesigned to not be though) and the liner gets shoved way forward when you put it on (with long sleeved shirts) so it’s all bunched up around your wrists. Perhaps making the inner sleeves of the liner in a slick material would help in this?

Overall, I loved that I wasn’t cold so I’m keeping it.

Buyer Beware- NOT a hunting coat

I bought this coat prior to my elk hunt this year in case the temps got stupid cold. Luckily, they didn't, and I ended up not wearing it for more than a couple of cold nights in camp. Thank goodness that was the case, because the layers of fabric this thing squeak like crazy! There's no way you could hunt anything in this coat (maybe pine squirrels? They'd probably bark at the noise it makes, so there's that). When I emailed Prois about this, they offered me a "deal" on a different coat since they wouldn't accept a return on something without tags. No... I want to return this useless coat I paid a bunch of money for because it literally can't do what it's advertised to do. Hopefully any of you reading reviews while you're shopping take this and all the other "not a hunting jacket" reviews seriously before wasting your money.
I was slowly outfitting myself with Prois gear, but the fact they won't return this when it's 100% unusable for hunting has turned me off of the brand for good.

Great winter jacket not so great hunting jacket

If you want to put this over something other that a tight fighting camesole then get 1size larger. The fleece lining is where it is at!!! However, it is not quiet at all. The meterial is loud deer can hear you coming or moving where you sit. But it is warm. So i hughly recommend this for bitter cold winters but not for hunting and go 1 to 2 sizes up. It is tailored cut.
