Prois State Coordinator Spotlight! Meet Patty Reel!

Patty Reel has been the state coordinator for South Carolina and North Carolina for the past year and has done a fantastic job bringing Prois to the ladies of those states. She continues to be integral part of the Prois Staff, often referred to as “the Posse” and her sense of humor is unshakable.  As state coordinator for South and North Carolina,  she has attended numerous Congressional Sportsman’s Foundation events, banquets and various other events.  She is a fantastic ambassador for Prois and we are proud to call her ‘friend’.  With that…meet Patty!

Prois:  What are your favorite pastimes?
PR:  I love to hunt and trout fish the rivers of SC and GA.
I love spending time with my husband and hunting with our new Lab Tubbs.

Prois:  How long have you been on staff with Prois?

Prois:  What do you find the most rewarding part of being a Prois State Coordinator:
PR:  The most rewarding part of being in the Prois Posse is the sisterhood and the friendships that we all have. Knowing you can call on any one of them at any time to just chat or for advice. They are always willing to help anyway they can.

Prois:  What are your own personal goals with regards to being a State Coordinator?
PR:  I want to introduce Prois to every female hunter in the state of SC and NC. As state coordinator I want each female hunter to know that she a person to call on when needs to. I want to plan events for the ladies and get them involved.

Prois:  How do you feel female hunters can band together for support and mentoring?
PR: I feel that female hunter regardless of who they staff for hold a special bond with each other. The biggest thing is to learn how to deal with harsh comments and negative feedback.

Prois:  When did you start hunting?
PR:  I started hunting when I was in high school. We would squirrel hunt everyday after school got out. When Brian and I were dating we coon hunted and deer hunted together. After we got married I joined him on some rabbit hunts and now we are waterfowl hunting.

Prois:  What do you find to be the most rewarding part of hunting?
PR:  The most rewarding part of hunting for me is the peacefulness of being in nature. Being able to unwind and clear my head and have a good talk with the Lord. If I am lucky enough to harvest an animal that’s a plus.
